Note: the US English versions do not have _en-US in the file name. The release candidates are out now, final version in a couple of weeks. Rather than trying to apply the fixes I would suggest you install OO.o 3.0. There are problems getting OO.o 2.4 to work on Leopard.
You drag the icon that has " 2.4.app" below it to the icon that has "Applications" below it. You obviously do not know how to install applications on a Mac (I'd suggest getting a good basic book on Macs). I double clicked on the 2.4 icon and a coffee cup icon started bouncing on my dock and then it would disappear. It has a Licenses folder, a Readmes folder and a strange looking wide gray box at the bottom that has 2.4, two seagulls with a white arrow and plus sign going through them, and an application folder.
